The resurgent Woods has also sparked interest in the Grand Slam with odds available at BookMaker.eu for the Big Cat to win all four majors. The second major of the season is the PGA Championship and Woods is well rested since he hasn’t taken a competitive swing since donning the green jacket. The best golfers in the world will assemble at Bethpage State Park Black Course in Farmingdale, New York, with world No. 1 Dustin Johnson the co-betting favorite at BookMaker.eu along with Rory McIlroy with odds of +1015.

Odds Analysis
Can you really pick a favorite with this star-studded lineup of golfers? The top 100 in the OWGR were set to peg it up starting Thursday until No. 5 ranked Justin Thomas withdrew due to a wrist injury. JT had odds of +1816 putting him seventh on the board behind such notables as Tiger, world No. 1 Dustin Johnson and defending champion Brooks Koepka. Even without Thomas, whoever wins this event will certainly earn it.
DJ and Rory McIlroy opened as the betting favorites with odds of +1015 while Woods and Koepka are close behind. The top of the list is congested with six players boasting odds between +1015 and +1615.
The PGA Championship will test out its new timeslot on one of the finest public courses in the country. This event had been the final major of the season before moving up a few months on the schedule. And all the Tour players have to adjust their schedules with the four majors played in a span of four months.
Bethpage Black stretches to nearly 7,450 yards and plays at par 70. The layout has swallowed some of the best golfers over the years and we aren’t going to see scores like we saw at last week’s ATT Byron Nelson where the top four finishers each shot -20 or better. The course is long with narrow fairways and plenty of bunkers guarding the elevated greens. Accurate drives and strong iron play will keep anyone in contention.

Put the names of 25 of the best golfers on a wall, close your eyes, and throw a dart. Wherever it sticks probably wouldn’t be a bad pick in this loaded field. It’s all going to come down to ball-striking, staying clear of the many obstacles and hazards that guard the course, and, as always, a little bit of luck.
Woods has lost some distance on his tee shots, but he displayed pinpoint accuracy at The Masters. And he plays his best in the biggest events. Tiger will be well-rested, but will the month-long layoff hurt his game? That’s the biggest question and probably the main reason why he’s not at the top of the odds board.
Still, it’s hard not to like Woods after his memorable win at Augusta. He’s gone major to major with no action in between six times during his career and the results have been mixed. He finished outside the top 25 three times, but he also won twice, including his last win prior to The Masters.
A number of players have displayed solid form ahead of this event and should be considered. Defending champ Koepka won a pair of major championships last year and shot four sub-70 rounds at last week’s Byron Nelson. Tony Finau has seven top-20 finishes in 12 majors, including a T5 at Augusta last month.
Recent form hasn’t been good and the odds are longer for Jordan Spieth and Phil Mickelson, but this could be their event. Spieth has started to get his game back in shape after a rough stretch and he’s a PGA Championship win shy of the career Grand Slam. Lefty has enjoyed success at Bethpage Black and says he loves the course. He said that about Pebble Beach in February and he won the title.
PGA Championship Pick: Brooks Koepka
Top-10 Lock: Tony Finau
