There are some restrictions to placing sports bets in the state of New Jersey. Offshore sportsbooks often provide an alternative when such restrictions arise.

As with all US-based sportsbooks, those 21 years or older can place bets. Offshore books allow individuals 18 and up to place wagers.
Betting on games that feature Rutgers or Seton Hall prohibited (offshore books offer alternatives).
Betting on New Jersey apps is not permitted outside the state borders, however, registration and payment while in other states is allowed.
Some apps and websites do not permit individuals to view lines outside the Garden State.
