What Are the Payout Odds Carlos Sainz to Win the 2022 Miami Grand Prix?
With all the focus on Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc, there is still some remarkable value on Carlos Sainz with $600 payout odds to win this weekend's Miami Grand Prix.
Carlos Sainz Odds to Win the 2022 Miami Grand Prix
Sainz crept into the single digit odds (6-1) ahead of Sergio Perez (+650).
The Spanish driver is currently competing in Formula One for Scuderia Ferrari. He is the son of Carlos Sainz, a double World Rally Champion, and the nephew of rally driver Antonio Sainz.
Sainz championship titles include the 2014 Formula Renault 3.5 Series and the 2011 Formula Renault 2.0 NEC.
Sainz' race ended in the first lap of the recent Imola Grand Prix following a collision with Daniel Ricciardo. Now he is looking to make amends.
"It's definitely a good place to hit back, especially with a lot of Spanish-speaking people here,'' said the Ferrari driver, who then enthusiastically addressed his fans in Spanish.
Both Verstappen and Leclerc are co-favorites promising a payout between $140 and $160 for every $100 bet.
A Fake Marina and Super Bowl-Style Opening Ceremony
This is the first every Grand Prix to be held in Miami and is expected to bring in more than the Super Bowl or Art Basil, two of the region's biggest events in past years. Art Basil has long been considered the largest for the economy and is presented each year with the exception of the pandemic.
Hotel rooms and rentals for the Miami Grand Prix were as much as $120,000 per night for the posh 4,515-square-foot pad in the 5-star Faena Hotel Miami Beach pictured below. It features four bedrooms, six bathrooms and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the water. If the $120,000 per night price tag seems a bit steep, just remember it comes with butler service.
If that is out of your budget, there's a $45,000 Airbnb up the road from us in Bal Harbor. Forget trying to get a regular hotel room here this weekend.
The event will take place at the home of the Miami Dolphins, the Hard Rock Stadium complex.
On Wednesday, an opening ceremony took place on the enormous podium, featuring a Super Bowl-style extravaganza. There is even an artificial marina, complete with fake water, around a section of the 5.412km circuit that has fans talking, some of whom are calling it "cheesy".
