What is Joel Embiid Worth in Sports Betting, Fantasy? Out at Least Two Weeks
With Joel Embiid playing, the Spurs-76ers line Sunday would be Phladelphia -6 to -6.5. Without him Gambling911.com anticipated an early line of Philadelphia -1. Embiid had already been out for Thursday's game against the Bulls due to Covid-19 protocol prior to his Friday night return against Washington. With Thursday night's game, oddsmakers knocked off six points but Philadelphia still managed a win without Embiid.

Why Embiid is Out
- Embiid has a bone bruise on his left knee and will be reevaluated in two weeks, the team announced Saturday.
- An MRI overnight revealed no structural damage to the knee that Embiid hyperextended in a victory over the Washington Wizards on Friday night, according to sources.
- Embiid's ACL and meniscus are fine, sources said, and there's significant relief within the Sixers that the injury isn't something much worse.
The Impact
SportsLine's Mike McClure, a DFS pro with almost $2M in winnings, had Embiid as a top NBA DFS pick for his Friday NBA daily Fantasy lineups. The Sixers center was priced at $10,700 on DraftKings and $10,700 on FanDuel. Embiid is second in the NBA by scoring 30.2 points per game, and he adds 11.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists per outing. That includes a 40-point, 19-rebound, three-assist outburst March 3 against Utah. Embiid had just returned to the Wizards game following exposure to Covid-19 that had him sitting out a few games including the NBA All-Star game last weekend.
Despite his absence, Philadelphia continued to win games.
The Sixers have covered the spread in their last four.
