When Will I Be Able to Bet the NFL From These States?

Gambling websites from around the globe have long accepted wagers on the NFL from these states, though some have avoided Utah.

Utah will not be allowing sports betting as they do not permit gambling of any kind, not even a state lottery.

Colorado is studying its options, but nothing will happen this NFL season.

As far as Montana goes, when Congress passed the law in 1992 banning sports betting in all states, that state was one of four states that were grandfathered in with its existing law allowing pool betting in sports.

Such pooling allows players to bet against and settle with each other rather than betting against the house.

The state legislature failed to act on Vegas-style sports betting for this year.

Then there is the least populous state, Wyoming.

"Wyoming has looked at that and Wyoming says that it doesn't allow gambling but there's bingo, there's poll tabs, there's historic horse racing, there's friendly card games there's lots of gambling that happens in Wyoming,” State Senator Drew Perkins of Natrona County said.
