Medlen, priced at around $6500 heading into a Wednesday game versus the Nationals, does provide an attractive option to DFS players, having allowed a single run his last start.  Unfortunately that was the only run scored in that game, resulting in the loss.

He’s only had one bad outing out of four, the others permitted no more than two runs.  He’s allowed just 23 hits off of 107 at bats versus the current Washington roster.

We would tend to lean more towards the Nationals starters in this series as they have gone 9-3 in the last twelve meetings between these two teams.

Jayson Werth has had some modest success versus Medlen, with 8 hits in 15 at bats that included a home run.

Sports bettors may want the UNDER here should the number be 7.5 or greater as the UNDER coming into this week’s series was 8-3-2 in Washington’s last 13 overall, 9-2 in the Royals last 11 home games and 9-3 in the Royals last 12 games overall.

Baseball News

Chris Paddack Player Prop Bets

Paddack recorded 10 strikeouts over seven shutout innings on Monday in a win over the White Sox. Prior to that start, Paddack was obliterated by the Orioles, allowing nine runs on 12 hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Zach Eflin Player Prop Bets

Zach Eflin has great value in fantasy leagues for the April 26 game against the lowly Chicago White Sox.  Betting on Eflin and the Tampa Bay Rays might make sense if not for the -210 price tag.

Trevor Williams Player Prop Bets

The Nats Trevor Williams held the Astros to one run with four strikeouts across six innings in a no-decision on Saturday.  And the betting public was eating him up at a near 80% clip.
