Cavs-76ers Spread – Fantasy Profile: Kevin Love, Dion Waiters

The Cavs-76ers spread had this horrendous Philadelphia squad as a +4.5 home dog having actually won less games on the season than this spread.  Cleveland, though, will be without Lebron James.  We have two solid Fantasy picks for the evening tied to this matchup: Kevin Love and Dion Waiters.

First off, the betting trends.  While Cleveland has won the last three games in this series, the home team is 7-3.  The last two games were won by double digits however.  These teams have split the series over the past ten games.  Philadelphia has lost its last five games by double digits overall but those were all on the road.  At home they haven’t fared much better, going 0-10 Against The Spread when using the current number.

The Cavs may be a let down on the season thus far but they are still playing above .500 Basketball.  They’ve dropped four of their last five games though.

Cleveland has had its trouble with Eastern Conference teams, going 2-8 ATS in their last 10 vs. Eastern Conference.  They are also 1-8 ATS in their last 9 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game.  Philadelphia, surprisingly, has performed well Against The Spread versus Central teams, where they are 7-2.  The 76ers are remarkably 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.  We here at Gambling911.com wouldn’t bet this game with a 20 foot pole, probably because a little birdy is telling us Philadelphia will likely cover and nobody in their right mind is betting on the 76ers.  Okay, 25% of those betting this game ARE.

As for the night’s Fantasy plays, Kevin Love can be gotten for $8600 at FanDuel.  He’s averaging 29 points and 9 rebounds over his last two games and will see plenty of minutes vs. Philadelphia this evening.  This is a 76ers team that cannot defend so we should see some terrific numbers.

We may love Dion Waiters more than Love thanks to the price tag of only $5400.  Everywhere we look he’s being recommended.  The Sixers have allowed the third most fantasy points to shooting guards this season.

Sixers? Knicks? Who Can Challenge Boston in the East this Season?

As the new NBA season gets underway, there is most certainly a sense that the Boston Celtics are the team to beat once again. The 18-time champions really took an “if it’s not broken, don’t try to fix it” policy in the offseason, and it’s hard to argue with the tactic.
