The Celtics Heat line opened at -8.5 overnight Sunday for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.  Betting action was relatively balanced on this initial spread.  This line was available at BetOnline here.

These two teams have essentially alternated wins and losses over the past three seasons with Miami 6-5 Straight Up verses Boston.  The Celtics have won the last three games in this series, however.

What to bet on in this game?  How about the OVER, which was listed at 180 Sunday night.  The OVER has occurred 9 out of 11 times in this series during the past three seasons.

It is important to note that both of these teams are suffering from major injuries.

Fatigue might come into play especially with the aging Celtics, but don’t tell that to the Heat’s Dwyane Wade.

"Get out of here with that," Wade said on Sunday. "I don't believe none of that. No feet hurting, no (one being) tired, nothing. This is the Boston Celtics. They're all 100 percent to me. When they play the Miami Heat, it's a different ball game. And vice versa. No storylines. No excuses."
