ESPN.com first reported on the prospects of Kentucky coach John Calipari coming back to the NBA as part of a package deal with Lebron James yesterday.  While denials were running rampant from sources within Chicago, where James and Calipari were rumored to be ending up, the story continues to gain traction.

Sportsbook.com has maintained odds of Lebron James playing in Chicago next season at +150, which means the payout would be $15 for every $10 if it happens.  Lebron James and where he might be headed is among the hottest trending topics at the Gambling911.com website in recent days, more so than either of the two Conference Finals Championship games.

A source confirms an unknown Calipari connection contacting Bulls management over the weekend, according to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune.

Dave D'Allessandro of the Newark Star Ledger wrote on Tuesday that, because it is K.C. Johnson reporting on this "rumor", there is probably some truth to it.

That being the case, there is definitely great value to be had betting on Lebron heading to the Bulls.

"Where there's smoke, there's fire," says Don Shapiro of Gambling911.com.  "It's possible negotiations could break down but one has to believe there is some type of package deal in the works that could land Lebron James in Chicago and, with odds of +150, Gambling911.com feels this is a tremendous value bet."

League sources said Sunday that noted NBA power broker William Wesley continues to work back channels to sell John Calipari and James as a package deal to franchises such as the Bulls, Nets and Clippers with coaching vacancies and salary cap room, Johnson reports.

New Jersey Nets boss, Rod Thorn, predicts that Lebron and Calipari will both land in Chicago assuming the rumors to be true regarding the "package sell".

"If that (scenario) is the truth, I'll bet you Mr. Calipari will be the coach in Chicago six weeks from now," Thorn told the Star Ledger Tuesday.
