You know the drill.  Teams are eliminated and interest rumors start swirling for free agents to-be, and potential trades.

Below are “next team” odds for Jimmy Butler, Joel Embiid, Paul George and Brandon Ingram, should they not be back with their respective teams for Game 1 of the 2024-25 season.

Jimmy Butler is favored to play next season with the Philadelphia 76ers at 2-1 odds.

Chad Lowe of ESPN expressed why this is such a strong possibility.

"It would not surprise me if there were some Jimmy Butler trade rumblings this offseason, if those extension talks don't go well," Lowe said while appearing on Friday's episode of The Lowe Post podcast.

"There are scenarios, let's just say, where the Heat trade Jimmy Butler for some future assets and some other stuff...and that gives them the ammo to go out and call the Cavs, and say, 'Hey, what about Donovan Mitchell?,'" Lowe continued.

Sixers? Knicks? Who Can Challenge Boston in the East this Season?

As the new NBA season gets underway, there is most certainly a sense that the Boston Celtics are the team to beat once again. The 18-time champions really took an “if it’s not broken, don’t try to fix it” policy in the offseason, and it’s hard to argue with the tactic.
