Citing diminished returns, International Gaming Technologies (IGT), has opted to scale back on its Web poker business.  Those online card rooms operating on the network were informed of this decision earlier in the week.

IGT’s focus has been mostly on the casino side of the sector, focusing more recently on lottery terminals and free-to-play apps that can now be used in casinos such as Las Vegas’ Hard Rock.  They provide casino software to some of Europe’s leading Internet gambling firms including 888, Genting and Virgin Games. Earlier in the year, the company had purchased the Swedish-based Entraction Poker Network.  BetVictor.com, the long established UK-based bookmaker, currently utilizes the Entraction poker platform, at least in part.

Poker skins currently using Entraction will have until 11 December to move to another network.

Other IGT/Entraction online poker rooms to be affected include but are not limited to 24HPoker.com, NoiQ, RedBet.com, Bettson, DevilfishPoker.com and KickOffPoker.com.
