Blagojevich was arrested on a number of federal corruption charges December 9, 2008 including attempting to sell Barack Obama's vacated United States Senate seat to the highest bidder. BetonSports.com CEO David Carruthers Pleads Guilty

David Carruthers, former BetonSports chief executive, pled guilty to Count 

One of the third superseding indictment in a St. Louis, Mo., court today. 

Mr. Carruthers agreed to not appeal provided that the sentence doesn't  exceed 33 months, which is under the terms of the agreement, as well as to not engage in United States-facing offshore gambling businesses during the time of supervised release or thereafter. 

Sentencing has been set for Friday, Oct. 2.

Gambling News: Federal Probe Into Alabama Attorney General’s Office

Reports surfaced on Monday that federal prosecutors were investigating Alabama Attorney General, Troy King, along with his possible connections to gambling.

NFL Sideline Reporter Lindsay Soto Stalker Arrested

A Wellington, Florida, man, John Stewart Taylor, 37, has been arrested and held on $25,000 bail for stalking NFL sideline reporter, Lindsay Soto. 

Taylor, who was already in jail for a probation violation, was slapped with the charge after NFL Network officials contacted the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office about a "large amount" of obscene messages left on Soto's voicemail.

He left a whopping 300 messages.

Chelsea Footballer Ashley Cole Arrested

As first reported by the Daily Mail on Thursday, Chelsea football star, Ashley Cole, has been arrested for a drunken confrontation with police during the overnight hours in West London.

Sources told the paper that Cole had repeatedly swore at a photographer then started abusing police after emerging from the Collection nightclub in Brompton.  Police brought Cole to the station to "sober up".

Once he did so, Cole apologized for the incident after being released around 5:30 am.
