Madison Square Garden is blocked off July 2-4 for a mystery event that many speculate will be the wedding ceremony for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce
Betting markets have the super couple married by August 31 with a 97% chance
Speculation continues to swirl over the upcoming wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, with multiple media reports pointing to a July 3 ceremony in New York City, though neither the couple nor their representatives have confirmed the details.
One important clue has emerged.
Dora Pekec, a spokesperson for the New York City Mayor’s Office, confirmed to the New York Times that a permit was filed in early June with the city’s Street Activity Permit Office.
Pekec confirmed some details of the permit that were first reported by The Times article about Swift and Kelce’s possible wedding plans. The article cited three people with knowledge of the matter and a city official briefed on the preparations.
A source at MSG told NBC News that the venue has blocked off July 2-4 and is making preparations for a big event. The person declined to be named in order to discuss a confidential matter. It was not clear whether the dates or preparations were being made for the Swift-Kelce wedding.
But there was also this important clue reported by the New York Times: Multiple members of the Kansas City Chiefs booked hotel rooms in Manhattan for the July 2-4 dates.
The betting markets have certainly taken notice.
Polymarket were giving a Swift-Kelce wedding by August 31 at 97 percent chance and a Manhattan wedding a 78% chance.
Her pregnancy odds are relatively low with a 37% chance of this happening by year's end.
