X Factor odds have been updated after this weekend's controversial outcome.

Irish X-Factor twins John and Edward will be thanking their lucky stars tonight after surviving elimination courtesy of an unlikely helping hand by judge Simon Cowell.  His remarks apparently have sparked rigging accusation.

Cowell decided not to save Lucie Jones despite constant berating of the twins.

Cowell's decision forced a deadlock between the judges -- which meant home viewer votes broke the tie and resulted in Jones (the lowest vote-getter) being ousted.

More than 50 complaints were received by Ofcom, the U.K.'s television industry regulator, related to rigging accusations.

"There are a number of complaints which we are looking into," an Ofcom spokesperson told the Daily Mail, which gave its report a "Farce Factor" headline.

"Jedward" were online bookmakers second favourites for eviction this week behind Lloyd Daniels but both acts, against the odds, have progressed through to next week.
