LSU vs. Auburn Spread Has Not Moved Off Number 6
The LSU vs. Auburn spread has remained stable over the past two days since opening at Auburn -6 . Auburn was getting around 65 percent of the backing where the spread was concerned. The OVER 52 was getting 85 percent of the betting action.
This promises to be one of the most watched and most bet on games of the 2010 Week 8 College Football regular season. LSU comes into this one ranked number 6 while Auburn is ranked number 8. We should note that odds were available on both these teams winning the 2011 BCS Championship at BetUS.com .

In the first meeting where both Auburn and Arkansas were ranked last week, they set a record for the highest-scoring regulation game in SEC history. The teams combined for more than 1,000 yards and five punts. Arkansas came out on the losing end, however, with a final score of 65-43.
"I'm sitting there on the sideline saying, 'Wow, we have this many points, and they have that many points,'" Auburn's quarterback Cam Newton said after the game. "At one point, we didn't want to score too fast because it was like a heavyweight boxing match."
Newton had over 100 yards rushing for the 4th time in 7 games this season.
Meanwhile, LSU last week extended the nation's longest regular season nonconference win streak to 32 games after beating McNeese State of Southland. LSU has not lost in the regular season to a nonconference opponent since its 2002 season opener at Virginia Tech.
LSU is 7-0 for the first time since 1973.
Still, the coach of LSU wasn’t exactly satisfied with Saturday’s win.
"I didn't think we played with a lot of emotion," Louisiana State University Coach Les Miles said following a win that was closer than the final score indicated. "If you look in college football, you can see that there's some other teams that played emotional games the week before and didn't quite play their best. Maybe the timing was right for us to play McNeese and play as poorly as we did and win."
