Carrie Stroup here with your Halloween Day 2010 Week 8 NFL predictions…but unfortunately I have no treats.  Typically my picks are based on going against the heavily bet on public favorites.

Interestingly enough the most wagered on of this week’s teams won’t hurt the online bookmakers should they lose.  The Steelers were the most bet on, however, action on this game was nearly even with Pittsburgh getting around 52 percent compared to the Saints at 48 percent.  This is an unusual circumstance for a team that is getting the most wagering action.  The Steelers-Saints game is therefore one of the most bet on of the season.  The Saints are the third most bet on team of the week.

The St. Louis Rams were the second most bet on team of the week, however, they were getting a mere 60 percent of the action against Carolina.

The Dolphins were getting the most lopsided action of any NFL game this week at 72 percent vs. the Bengals.
