Bookies Nearly Slaughtered in Week 12 NFL Thanks to Giants, Titans

It’s not every day that the Tennessee Titans hammer the bookmakers.

That’s exactly what happened when they managed to beat the Chicago Bears on the road by six points with the line moving from a PICK’EM to -5 and over 90 percent backing Tennessee.

But it was the New York Giants as a -7.5 favorite visiting Cleveland that killed the books early.

Tennessee covered with a six-point win but New York beat the Browns by far more than the 7.5 points with a 27-13 victory.

The books made amends to some degree later in the day with New England failing to cover a 7 point spread against the Jets in New York later Sunday, thus avoiding a total blood bath.  The Patriots still beat New York.

The books also did okay with a Tampa Bay outright win against Seattle later in the day.

The Chiefs-Broncos game Sunday night was seeing balanced action.
