BetOnline has posted Manti Te’o NFL Draft odds following a scandal that has rocked Notre Dame.  Odds on Te’o getting selected in the 1st Round of the 2013 NFL Draft were at Yes -200 and No +160, the later of which would pay $16 for every $10 bet

"The 'YES" is a very good bet," suggested Dave Mason of BetOnline.

The Notre Dame linebacker helped lead his team into the NCAA title game against Alabama.

On September 11, 2012 it was reported that Te’o had lost both his grandmother and girlfriend within the span of one day.  The girlfriend, who Te’o initially identified as Lennay Kekua was said to have died after battling leukemia.

Deadspin.com later reported that they found no record of any woman named Lennay Kekua and that the story of her death was a hoax.

The university said in a statement that "Manti had been the victim of what appears to be a hoax in which someone using the fictitious name Lennay Kekua apparently ingratiated herself with Manti and then conspired with others to lead him to believe she had tragically died of leukemia."

The school also confirmed it had hired private detectives to uncover the source of the hoax and insisted Te’o’s relationship with the woman was strictly online.
