McNabb Injury

Despite one of the most decisive victories of the day, the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb suffered an injury that sent him to the locker room. Trainers seemed to be checking his lower back or ribs before he headed to the locker room.  It was later revealed that McNabb had a fractured rib on his lower left side. Coach Andy Reid said said "there's a chance," he would play next week against the New Orleans Saints next week.  McNabb will be examined further on Monday after the team returns to Philadelphia.

McNabb scored on a 3-yard run in the third quarter to give the Eagles a 38-10 lead. He didn't immediately get up after the touchdown.

How this affects the Eagles odds of winning the 2010 Super Bowl and other championships throughout the 2009/2010 period remain to be seen as Michael Vick could fill in as early as Week 3.

The Eagles had been listed with odds of winning the 2010 Super Bowl anywhere from 7/1 to 10/1 (+1000 at Sportsbetting.com, and the best of the payout potentials for gamblers).

"This could just elevate more of a quarterback controversy in Philadelphia should McNabb be injured for an extended period of time and Vick plays well," says Don Shapiro of Gambling911.com.

With the suspended Michael Vick watching from a luxury suite, Kevin Kolb finished the game at quarterback as the Eagles ran out the clock on a miserable day for the Panthers.
