When it comes to the Minnesota Vikings vs. Green Bay Packers line, the majority of sports bettors are looking for the most value for Minnesota.  Almost 75 percent of the betting action is on the Vikings.  We should point out that more than 95 percent of the online sportsbooks were offering the Minnesota Vikings vs. Green Bay Packers line at Packers -3.  Sportsbetting.com was the rare exception, offering a very enticing line of +3 ½ for all your Vikings backers out there.

Gambling911.com fully anticipates this to be the most bet on game - not just of the week - but of the entire 2009 regular NFL season.  It's a late afternoon showdown as well, which means that people will be placing their bets while the first games are being played if things look like they are going the public's way....and they certainly did last week!

NFL.com has two things to watch for in this game:

Aaron Rodgers sticking to the system: In his first game against Favre, Rodgers seemed too desperate to do something dramatic and make a play. He performed reasonably well, but held onto the ball way too long at times and took a few more chances than usual by forcing throws. As with Favre, Rodgers has to remain patient and execute the system, instead of trying to impress his former teammate and straying from the offense.

Favre's composure: After playing for 16 years in Green Bay, Favre heads back to Lambeau Field as an opposing player for the first time. His emotions figure to be high, but he must maintain his focus and keep under control despite his feelings or whatever reaction he gets from the crowd.

Green Bay has won the last three at home though Minnesota has won the last two in this series.

Some important Minnesota Vikings vs. Green Bay Packers trends to consider before betting on this game:

The Vikings are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a Straight Up loss.

The Vikings are 6-14 ATS in their last 20 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.

The Vikings are 3-12-2 ATS in their last 17 games as an underdog of 0.5-3.0.

The Vikings are 1-6 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.

The Packers are 11-2 ATS in their last 13 games after allowing less than 15 points in their previous game.

The Packers are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 vs. NFC North.

Green Bay definitely has an edge here but we'll sit back and wait on this one to monitor future line moves.

Deposit up to $300 and Sportsbetting.com will match that number.  For example:  Open an account with $500 using your credit card or other accepted method and Sportsbetting.com will put another $300 into your account Plus an additional 10 percent bonus (in this case $50).   This offer is for Gambling911.com readers ONLY so click here to open your account!
