The New York Jets Super Bowl 2010 odds were now listed at 7/1 at Sports Interaction.com, excellent odds considering this is a team that just beat the hottest team in the league, the San Diego Chargers, on the road no less.

"The New York Jets looked good, very good," points out Gambling911.com Lead Sports Odds reporter, Don Shapiro.  "With a payout potential of $700 for every $100 bet, there is terrific value here."

A $25 bet would pay out $175.  A $50 bet would pay out $350.

Gang Green goes up against the Indianapolis Colts next weekend to determine the 2010 AFC Champion.  The Jets come into that game as a +7 ½ underdog.  The trend is for the line to move up further.  Some books have New York at +8 already.

The Jets beat Indianapolis during Week 16 and that turned out to be New York's ticket into the Playoffs once putting Cincinnati away at home.

But of course the Colts rested most of their players during that game and Peyton Manning barely played.

"I don't know if Santa Claus is going to be that good to me again," said Jets Coach Rex Ryan, who jokingly asked Santa for the Colts to sit all of their stars. "I will say it, I'd like to see Peyton Manning not play this week."

Jets star Braylon Edwards pointed out that the Jets were playing it close in Indianapolis even while Manning was still in the game.

"They pulled their starters halfway through the third and they were only up [five] points," Edwards said. "We could care less on who plays this game. We're on the steam-roll train and we're happy. We're happy that people don't give us a chance or don't respect us or they go out here and say that we don't deserve to be in the playoffs. Each week we're showing different."

For sports bettors, there is reason to be optimistic about the New York Jets chances of winning Super Bowl 2010.

Just two years ago, the odds were stacked against another New York team, the Giants, and ultimately they shocked everyone by winning the big game.

"The Giants entered that season as 100/1 long shots at some online sportsbooks," Shapiro said.
