From the New York Times:

Ohio is a populous state but has only one football program in the Big 5 conferences, so it makes sense that Ohio State has the plurality of fans in every single Ohio ZIP code. (Apologies to the Cincinnati Bearcats, Akron Zips and Miami (Ohio) RedHawks, among others.) Not only that: Ohio State claims territory in most of its neighboring states, including Indiana, Pennsylvania and — gasp — Michigan.

Ohio State not only dominates the region, they are also among the favorites to win the National Championship game at 8-1 odds.

The Buckeyes though are actually favored to win UNDER 8.5 regular season games priced at -145.  Buckeyes fans may want to jump all over the OVER, which would pay out $140 on a $100 bet or $40 on a $10 bet.

Cincinnati was favored to win OVER 7.5 regular season games priced at -145.

Few books, if any, were offering regular season win total odds on Akron or Miami (Ohio).  The later was listed with 3-1 odds of winning the MAC East while Akron would pay out $340 on a $100 bet with a win in the MAC East.

The head coach search has become somewhat clouded in Jacksonville and Las Vegas considering one dismissed its GM yesterday and the other hired a GM on Wednesday. Both potentially open the door for Liam Coen should he not sign extension with the Bucs.
