Pittsburgh Steelers Odds to Win 2014 Super Bowl at 30-1 No Typo at Ace

Gambling911.com was pretty stunned to find that one of our newest ad partners, AceSportsbook.com, began offering the Pittsburgh Steelers odds to win the 2014 Super Bowl at 30-1.

This is beyond SICK when one considers the Steelers have every shot of winning another Super Bowl.  After all, they do so every few years.

But what exactly happened here?  After all, the Steelers were listed with close to 15/1 odds of winning the Super Bowl just a few weeks ago (if not a few days ago) and, as of July 10, Bookmaker had Pittsburgh posted at 25/1 odds, a 5 point difference from Ace.

Well, there isn’t any major injury news to report and they appear to have the 11th easiest schedule of any NFL team.   They just need to make it to the post season.  Once there, this is a franchise all other teams should fear.  And based on their relatively “soft” schedule, the Steelers should have no trouble making the Playoffs.

Here is the 2013 NFL Regular Season schedule for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

September 8 vs. Tennessee

November 3 at New England

September 16 at Cincinnati

November 10 vs. Buffalo

September 22 vs. Chicago

November 17 vs. Detroit

September 29 at Minnesota

November 24 at Cleveland

October 6 BYE

November 28 at Baltimore

October 13 at NYJ

December 8 vs. Miami

October 20 vs. Baltimore

December 15 vs. Cincinnati

October 27 at Oakland

December 22 at Green Bay

December 29 vs. Cleveland

With solid teams, Gambling911.com always likes to give them 3 division rival wins and, for argument’s sake, we will count all three division games held at home.  Like in past years, we will give the Steelers two wins against division rival, the Cleveland Browns.

Now take a look at their home schedule.  Four of those games are against teams that played under .500 football last year.  One, Chicago, is definitely winnable this year.

Additionally, we have three away games that Pittsburgh can easily win in Minnesota, New York (Jets) and at Oakland.  Let’s assume they take 2 of 3.

On paper it appears the Steelers can end up with 11 wins.  A Week 16 game in Green Bay could prove meaningless for the Packers as well, so 12 to 13 wins is actually doable.

Bottom line, even in this tight AFC North division, Pittsburgh should have no problem this year making it to the post season and, as alluded to above, once there, they become especially dangerous.  Bet the Steelers to win the 2014 Super Bowl here.
