The Texans vs. Raiders spread remained at Houston -3 Saturday evening.  Amazingly the oddsmakers haven’t move the number above the number 3 after opening at -4.  Some 90 percent or more of the backing has gone towards the Texans in this one, making them among the top three most bet on sides in Week 4 of the 2010 NFL regular season.

The Texans started the season looking almost invincible at 2-0 but faltered last week.  Note that they are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games following a ATS loss.

The Raiders also lost last week, a 23-24 heartbreaker in Arizona.  For sports bettors, the Straight Up loss really didn’t matter much as Oakland still managed to cover the spread.

Stat Inc. notes that the Raiders new starting quarterback, Bruce Gradkowski will try to take advantage of Houston's league-worst pass defense, one that  allows 368.7 yards per game and has no interceptions. Gradkowski debuted last week, completing 17 of 34 passes for 255 yards with one touchdown and one interception.

While it may be tempting to take the OVER in this game (43 ½), gamblers need to know that Houston is just 3-11 with the OVER when playing losing teams these last three seasons. 80 percent of the betting public was on the OVER.

Against The Spread as a home underdog of 3 points or less, the Raiders are just 4-15.  They are also 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS win.
