So I am sitting in my hotel room here in New Jersey, back from a conference, wishing I could get to New York City or Philadelphia and this ad pops up on television for PartyGaming.  “Wow!” I’m thinking to myself.  “I can actually be playing online casino games right here in my hotel room before dinner?”

“Oh wait!  I don’t see ads for PartyGaming on TV in my home town so this might just be a New Jersey/New York thing.”

While it is true, this is a phenomenon you will only find in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, don’t feel for a second that, just because you happen to be visiting the Garden State from somewhere else, you can’t take full advantage of online casino games offered by the likes of PartyGaming and Virgin.

The requirements to play:  You only have to be physically located within the state of New Jersey.  Provide the online gambling website with your home address and contact info and you are good to go.  Yours winnings will be sent to your home address.

Both PartyGaming and TropicanaCasino.com, the later of which is in partnership with Virgin, are based out of Atlantic City and are fully licensed and regulated in the state.

“In the case of TropicanaCasino.com and Virgin it’s a unique experience for some travelers who can’t get to Atlantic City,” explained Payton O’Brien, Senior Editor of the Gambling911.com website.  “That’s because Virgin America Air Lines most profitable routes just happen to be between Newark and San Francisco and Newark-Los Angeles.

“You can essentially enjoy the Virgin experience throughout your trip,” O’Brien adds.

Virgin, which currently features an online community jackpot that, at press time, was up to $30,000, is slated to begin offering online poker shortly.  PartyGaming already does through its partnership with the Borgata Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City.

Thousands of people have already registered at the various real money online gambling sites based out of New Jersey since the activity became legal there in November of this past year.

So, yes, there is more to do while on business in New Jersey than hang out bored in your hotel room wishing you had time to visit Manhattan.
