Gambling Not a Dirty Word According to US Government: Pork, Cloud, Mexico Are

The US Department of Homeland Security was required to release its list of key words and phrases monitored on social media websites and, surprisingly, “gambling” was not among them.

Most of the terms can be applied to potential terrorist threats but then there were the likes of “Cloud”, “Mexico” and “Pork”.

Agency spokesman Matthew Chandler said: 'To ensure clarity, as part of ... routine compliance review, DHS will review the language contained in all materials to clearly and accurately convey the parameters and intention of the program.'

Information was released under the Freedom of Information Act.

Last year when three online poker sites were essentially expelled from operating in the US market, some opposed to online poker went as far as to suggest that Web gambling sites were being used to fund terrorism, claims that seem to have zero validity.
