Mobile Online Gambling in New Jersey Makes Up One Quarter of Market

A report this week shows that mobile online gambling in New Jersey has accounted for more than a quarter of the overall market at one of the leading websites, WSOP.com.  This includes tablets such as the iPad.

Seth Palansky, Vice President, Corporate Communications and Editor-In-Chief at Caesars Interactive Entertainment Inc., tells John Brennan of the Record "I sense that number will rise in the coming months as more mobile apps become available."

To date, the Caesars brands are getting about 32 percent of the market compared to 41 percent for the Borgata/PartyPoker, Brennan notes.

Caesars this week announced a strategic partnership with the New York Rangers.  New Jersey legislators are also looking to pass a bill that would permit the Garden State to license foreign online gambling firms.
