The NCAA has filed a lawsuit in an effort to stop the state from moving forward with plans to allow sports betting.

From USA Today:

In addition to the women's basketball regional, scheduled March 30-April 2, the events, all set for 2013, include the Division I Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championship's Diving Regionals in Piscataway, the Division III Men's Volleyball Championship in Hoboken and the Division II and III Women's Lacrosse Championships in Montclair.

All five events will be moved to new host sites and cities, to be determined at a later time, the NCAA said.

The MAAC and conference member Rider were scheduled to act as hosts for the basketball regional, and Ensor said he hopes to be able to find an available venue in the league's geographic footprint (New York-Connecticut-Maryland) or in nearby Pennsylvania to act as a host.

The National Football League (NFL) has announced no plans to move the Super Bowl from New Jersey in 2014.
