At least one major online poker room has been experiencing problems sending wires, the result of an online bank that has prevented them access to their funds.

The bank is associated with a popular payment processor for online poker and other Web gambling websites.

Little is known as to why the bank has "locked" funds.

The name of the bank has been withheld as per industry code of ethics until which time the reason for the banking issues is confirmed.

"This could simply be an issue with another nation's government so nobody wishes to jeopardize any arrangements at this time," a source close to Gambling911.com speculated.

One operator told Gambling911.com:  "Some (online gambling) sites have a lot of money tied up in this bank."
