Sweden and Gambling: One in Ten Young People do it
A recent study found that one in ten young people living in Sweden gamble.
The Swedish National Institute of Public Health conducted the survey of young men age 18-24.
"When we look at the evolution of different population groups, there are number of warning signs," said Marie Risbeck, FHI's coordinator gaming prevention, in a statement.
10 percent of this group, or around 450,000, are estimated to have gambled.
The study also found that a rather large proportion of those under the age of 18 have gambled even though it is illegal to do so.
