World Series of Poker No Longer Allowing Profanity At Tables: F@%#!
WickedChopsPoker broke the news...or at least that's where we at Gambling911.com found it. The World Series of Poker has decided it will no longer allow profanities at the table.
"That's a f***ing shame!" Gambling911.com reporter, Jenny Woo ejaculated. "What we love about poker is that the game is so raw. It's not as if the kiddies should be watching. It's typical of sports even when we were growing up to yell cuss words and swear both on and off the court and behind the bleachers."
Harrah's, which owns the WSOP brand and hosts the tournament at its Rio property, included the following rule for this year's tournament (though we suspect it may always have been there)"
Harrah's prohibits the use of obscene or foul language in any public area of the casino at any time. Any player who uses such language or makes a foul, profane, obscene or ulgar statement, or speaks abusively or in an intimidating manner to another player, a dealer or a Tournament staff member, will be penalized.Harrah's prohibits the use of obscene or foul language in any public area of the casino at any time. Gambling911.com's poker player most likely to spew the F word first (if we were offering odds) - Mike Matasow.
"Despite his filthy mouth tendencies, Matsusow is really has a calm persona when he's not doing his job," writes Mark Beierly of Helium.
