Toronto-based Betty Canada calls itself "made for Ontario".

$40 No Deposit Bonus + 250% Match Bonus

"Because you’re from Ontario. We’re proud to be one of the only online casinos made specifically for Ontario slot players. #PlayLocal," the site proclaims.

The two-year-old female focused Betty Casino, unlike all those sweepstakes online casinos claiming to be free you see on TV, is a real money online casino that features a low minimum deposit of just $1.

New CEO Chavdar Dimitrov, plans to extend Betty's presence beyond Ontario's borders and to start appealing to men as well.

"Our gender split is pretty consistently 50/50, with a slight skew towards women,” Dimitrov tells Casino.org. “Our approach is to be female-friendly without alienating men, as so many of our competitors are male-focused. We are definitely a platform for men and women, and we’re happy that our offering resonates with players across gender, culture, and location.”

With Alberta in its sights, the online casino hopes to double its revenue in the years to come.

  • USD $114 million-dollar net revenue run rate in 2024 after originally projecting USD $20 million
  • 39,000 active players after predicting 6,600
  • New business model aims at making Betty the “McDonald’s of iCasino”

Company founder Justin Park wants to turn Betty Casino into a franchise opportunity while expanding into other regions like the U.S. and Latin America.

The idea there is to become the “McDonald’s of iCasino,” as Park put it, partnering with managers, providing them with the tools for success, with licensing fees flowing back into Betty parent company coffers.

Park will still focus heavily on that female niche.

Speaking to Houlihan Lokey, Park compared iGaming to the online dating industry.

"Our perspective is that the online gambling market in North America is set to experience a fragmentation similar to what we’ve seen in many other consumer markets. Initially, large, dominant players will enter the market, followed by the emergence of specialized, niche companies. Eventually, these smaller entities are likely to be reabsorbed into the bigger organizations.

"Online dating is a great example of this. When Match.com launched in 1995, it was the first of its kind, but smaller entities offering niche services, like Christian Mingle and Tinder, began to emerge. These companies were later acquired by online dating conglomerates; Christian Mingle became a part of Spark Networks, and Tinder was integrated into the Match Group."

Game providers include world class software such as NetEnt and Pragmatic Play as well as IGT.
