We here at Gambling911.com had no idea just how many of these gambling industry awards were out there, probably because we never received one.

And apparently some of these organizations require a fee to be nominated.  Who knew?  We're content with our Susan Lucci status to be quite frank. Lucci became known for receiving her "Best Actress" nomination year after year after year and never winning a Daytime Emmy.  Eventually she went on to win one.  It only took 25 years.

26 years later and we here at Gambling911.com have yet to even be nominated.  Not to brag, but we've broken some pretty big stories over the years.  That has to account for something, we would think.  Maybe we have to pay for that.  Woe is us.

Maybe the new StatsDrone awards will recognize our achievements.  They're the latest of some three dozen awards up for grabs.

Our friend - and now comedian - John Wright of StatsDrone released a video that lists all of these awards.  Bet he missed a few though.

Morten Marcussen, CEO at Voonix.net and Sportsinnovation A/S, writes the obvious in response to Wright's video:

"A fun initiative—there are plenty of rumours about people paying their way to an award, which certainly happens from time to time. However, it's pretty clear that if you don't buy a ticket to the award ceremony, you won't win anything. So, there are probably some people disappointed you’re not hosting a dinner."

That might explain why we've never received one.

Speaking of rewards, here's one that actual has some teeth: Industry luminary Sue Schneider was honored with the Steven Geller NCLGS. National Council of Legislators from Gaming States Achievement Award.

John, you missed that one.
