SPARKS (Associated Press) - Sparks police have arrested an armed man after a standoff with a SWAT team at a hotel-casino where two floors briefly were evacuated.

Police say they responded to a report of a domestic dispute just before 9 a.m. Wednesday inside a room at the Sparks Nugget.

Sgt. Benjamin Russell says officers observed a handgun in Justin Waters' waistband before he barricaded himself inside the bathroom. He surrendered about an hour later and police took him into custody.

No one was injured. Police are still looking for a woman who fled the hotel room before officers arrived.

Waters was booked into the Washoe County Jail on suspicion of resisting an officer with a firearm and possession of a controlled substance. Police say additional charges may be filed.
