2011 Belmont Stakes payouts will be over $230 for every $100 bet at press time early Friday morning at BetDSI.com.

Animal Kingdom, the favorite to win the 2011 Belmont Stakes, has had his odds slowly cut from 3/1 to now +230.

Both the Kentucky Derby winner, Animal Kingdom, and the Preakness winner, Shackleford, drew terrible post positions.  Shackleford’s position (12), in fact, has only won the Belmont Stakes a single time in 2002, and with a longer track than that of Churchill Downs, we don’t see Shackleford able to win it this time around.

It is no wonder that the oddsmakers have made Nehro a second favorite with a potential payout of $350 on every $100 bet.

The best of the 2011 Belmont Stakes payouts would be on Monzon, with the longest odds of 27/1 and potential for $2700 paid out on a $100 bet.  Monzon’s number 7 post position has only won twice in the history of the Belmont Stakes, so save your money.

Post position one has the best advantage, delivering approximately one out of every four Belmont Stakes winners.  With that said, Master of Hounds will race from that position and he offers one of the better Belmont Stakes payouts among contenders that stand a chance:  $700 for every $100 bet.

Look closely at the payout possibilities for the remaining five positions as these have delivered 70 wins in the past 105 years.

2. Stay Thirsty would pay out $1500 for every $100 bet.

3. Ruler On Ice would pay out $2200 for every $100 bet.

4. Santiva would pay $1000.

5. Brilliant Speed would pay $1000.

How We Follow Horse Racing Has Completely Changed

Horse racing has always been a sport built on routine. Certain days meant certain tracks, the form guide landed when it landed, and if you missed a race, you simply caught up later. Following the sport required a bit of commitment, a bit of patience, and often a bit of guesswork.
