Bayern odds to win the 2014 Breeders Cup Classic in 2014 were set at 8/1 early on at Sportsbook.ag, where you are eligible to receive up to an 8% rebate on weekly losses.
Bayern has enjoyed much success over his short career, winning the Pennsylvania Derby and Haskell Invitational this year, both Grade I races.
He is owned by Kaleem Shah and trained by Bob Baffert.
Bayern’s true claim to fame comes from his unpredictability in which he has won and lost races by rather large margins. Case in point, Bayern was favored to win the Travers Stakes in late August only to end up finishing dead last. He had previously finished second last at this year’s Preakness Stakes and did not contest the Belmont Stakes.
