Following his huge 9 ½ length win at the Arkansas Derby, Bodemeister was listed with 5 to 1 odds to win the 2012 Kentucky Derby at BetOnline. The Arkansas race is viewed among the most critical preps leading up to the Kentucky Derby.

At 5/1 odds, Bodemeister is the early favorite to win on May 5 at Churchill Downs.

Bodemeister broke wide coming out of the gate, but quickly took the lead and never relinquished it, in the 76th running of the race, which is a major prep for the Kentucky Derby in May.

His win represented the third largest margin of victory at the Arkansas Derby.

Secret Circle, who had the second shortest odds, finished a distant second Saturday. Sabercat ran third.
