With no big stars Saturday, the Breeders Cup Classic 2012 contenders aren’t exactly the most riveting, but some do offer decent size payouts.  You can bet at BetOnline here (once on the site – click on Horses up top to find the latest odds on Saturday).  Offering up to 7 percent in losses back (track rebates).  YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PROVIDE A SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER TO JOIN.

Brian Mulligan of BetOnline offered up this assessment of Saturday’s Classic, and it is all about Game On Dude at near 2/1 odds

“The granddaddy of them all closes out the BC Classic action and Game on Dude is clearly the one to deny. The Dude is unbeaten this year, has relaxed a bit and seems stronger this year and appears to be coming to the race as good as he can be. Richard’s Kid rates an upset look and Ron the Greek has a winning history locally.”

Richard’s Kid would pay around 16/1 odds

“He can step up to the plate on big days as he has taken several Grade 1s in his career, could have been hurt but the apparent speed bias in the last race and this extra distance can only help,” Mulligan says.

The horses trained by William Mott also have a good shot.

“Ron the Greek has a couple of things in his favor like the fact he is trained by Bill Mott and that he is proven in Arcadia having won the Big ‘Cap in the winter coming from 14 back to cash going away,” Mulligan suggests.

“Mott’s other charge, Flat Out, is peaking at the right time. He has won 6 of 19 in his career and has trained cleverly since his recent 109 winning Beyer performance.”

Ron The Greek had 8/1 early odds while Flat Out was listed at 6/1

Fort Larned, another of the Breeders Cup Classic contenders listed with single digit odds (8/1) is not a standout for Mulligan.

“Fort Larned had two tough races in a row and then just never kicked in the Jockey Club Gold Cup. If he can revert to his best race this year in the Whitney, he could throw a wrench into the works.”
