Decisive Moment odds to win the 2011 Kentucky Derby were listed at +3000 at BetED.com.

Trainer Juan Arias said of the post position 5 drawn: “It’s great. It’s a good draw.”

Decisive Moment was originally the biggest long shot at 50-1 odds along with Watch Me Go (now at 80/1 or +800).

Ron Gierkink of the Daily Racing Form noted that Decisive Moment’s last performance in the Grade 3 Spiral at Turfway “was solid, and going from Polytrack to dirt is an angle that might be to his benefit on the first Saturday in May”.

His weakness is what one might expect from a 30-1 long shot. Decisive Moment has yet to win a graded stake.
