Honor Code Current Odds to Win 2015 Breeders Cup Classic
Current odds for Honor Code to win this year’s Breeders Cup Classic were set at 6-1 Saturday morning. These odds are subject to change, especially the hours and minutes leading up to post time so check back frequently here.
This four-year-old recently won both the Met Mile and the Whitney but finished third place in his last race.
During morning workouts earlier this week, Honor Code ran four furlongs in 48 seconds.
“He did very well, everything is very good with him,” said Honor Code’s trainer, Hall of Famer Shug McGaughey. “We caught him from the three-eighths pole to the mile-and-three-eighths pole in 48, with his last three-eighths in 35 and four. It was pretty dark, which is why we breezed there.”
The four-year-old is considered among the top three contenders versus American Pharoah (6-5 odds) and Tonalist (with the same 6-1 odds).
“All you can do is take him over there and see what happens,” McGaughey said. “I couldn’t be happier. I wish they were running it today so I wouldn’t have to worry about it anymore.”
