Moreno is trained by Eric Guillot.  The horse has finished in the money over his last several races.

Guillot takes credit for renaming the horse after the owner-breeder Mike Moreno.

“I thought when Hansen [2011 Juvenile winner] was named after his owner he should have one named after him,” Guillot said.  “I could see he was going to be a good horse.”

Moreno finished 2^nd in his last two races, the Pennsylvania Derby and Travers Stakes.  Prior to this he won the Dwyer.  He enjoyed a 3^rd place finish at this year’s Jim Dandy.
