The payout odds on Tonalist to win the 2015 Breeders Cup Classic midweek were set at 6-1.
Tonalist is coming off his Jockey Club Grade 1 race win. He has finished among the top three in his last five races.
Those who know this horse well believe his comfort zone is in long races and, as such, the Breeders Cup Classic will make for a perfect fit at 1 1/4 miles.
"I've heard some concern about him running back to back races at a mile-and-a-quarter but I don't think that's a concern with him," trainer Christophe Clement said.
Clement’s assistant, Christophe Lorieul chimed in. "I think that right now he is as good as he has ever been. Physically, he has taken to his work very well. He does not look like a horse that's reached the end of the year where he is too light, or anything like that. He is carrying good flesh and is doing very well."
