Favorite Orb could see his odds gain some value as he drew the rail, a position that has not yielded the best results in past Preakness Stakes races.  Only one horse has been victorious in the last 52 years in fact. 

“Obviously, I wouldn’t have picked the one, but with only nine horses in there and running a mile-and-three-sixteenths with a rider like Joel (Rosario), he’s going to figure (out) what to do,” trainer Shug McGaughey said. “He’ll have him in the right spot.”

Orb still had EVEN odds of winning. 

Oxbow’s odds remained the same despite getting one of the better positions at number 6.
