Revolutionary’s claim to fame is having won this year’s Louisiana Derby and the Withers.  He is undefeated coming into Saturday’s race.

Revolutionary will be running from the number 3 spot where 8 horses have won in the Kentucky Derby’s over 100 years history.

“Very happy,” trainer Todd Pletcher said of his entry’s post position. “I think Calvin will be looking to go inside as soon as he can, so starting off inside was a good thing.”

Initially Revolutionary was instilled as the 10-1 favorite, however, that line has been cut to 8-1.
