For the first time all season, the Boston Celtics are no longer the favorites to win the NBA Championship.

That honor belongs to the Oklahoma City Thunder. They are having a legendary campaign, currently sitting at 33-6.

The Thunder are just destroying teams while pacing to have the largest margin of victory in NBA history. They are winning by an average margin of 12.8 points per game, which would surpass the 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers.

That Lakers squad finished 69-13, won the NBA title, won an NBA record 33 consecutive games and were led by Wilt Chamberlain, Jerry West and Gail Goodrich. And they had a young kid named Pat Riley on that squad, too.

This iteration of the Thunder has the best defense in the NBA, despite playing most of the season without Chet Holmgren.

Tonight, they try to avenge one of their few losses when they host the Eastern Conference’s best team, the Cleveland Cavaliers.
