Online poker traffic continues to be on the rise, a good sign for the industry.  During the first few days of October, traffic was up 2.7 percent according to PokerScout.com.

The world’s leading online poker room PokerStars lost some traction following its big 50 billionth hand promotion.  That site saw a 7 percent drop in traffic over the past seven days.  They remained well ahead of the pack nonetheless.  PokerScout.com notes that PokerStars had gained 12 percent the prior week.  The global powerhouse was also forced to pull out of Washington State last week following a court’s decision to uphold a ruling that makes playing poker online a Class C felony.

Big movers this week included the Entraction Network, which fell behind Winamax.fr and allowed the French site to take over 12th place.

Svenska Spel moved up three spots to 15th place while PartyPoker.fr PartyPoker.fr lost ground to 888, the number 16 most trafficked online poker room.   Ace King reporting for Gambling911.com
