Redskins-Giants Spread a Firm -7

Ever since opening at New York -7.5 earlier in the week, the Redskins-Giants spread has settled in at -7 across the board.  Despite the lack of line movement, New York continued to get most of the betting action at 75 percent on the spread.  The Redskins money line would pay around $29 for every $10 bet should Washington win outright.  70 percent of those backing the money line were on the Skins.  70 percent were on the OVER on the 43.5 total. 

The 7-4 Giants last week managed to just squeak by Washington with a 24-20 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Giants erased an 11-point halftime deficit and scored 15 fourth-quarter points to win.  Eli Manning’s 32-yeard touchdown pass to Kevin Boss with just 3:15 minutes left on the clock helped seal the deal.

Meanwhile, the 5-6 Redskins fell to Minnesota on Sunday.  Brett Favre helped in that 17-13 victory by running for a first down.

"Did I expect to run for a first down? I haven't expected to run for a first down in quite a while," Favre said. "It was 10 yards? Really? It felt like 50. But we needed that win."

All the trends in the world will have a tough time overcoming the fact that the Giants have had their way with Washington in recent outings.  New York rebounding this past week and trying to hold their grip in the NFC East (especially with Philadelphia’s loss to Chicago) should factor in strongly here for the Giants win in Gambling911.com’s opinion.
