Real estate mogul Donald Trump had opening odds of 50/1 to be elected the next President of the United States at AceSportsbook.com back in 2011.

“I am seriously considering it,” said Trump in an interview with CNN’s John King in June of 2016 when this initially went to publication.  “I am very, very serious about doing it.”

At the time nobody believed him.

Trump added that other countries are “killing us” on the economic front.

The businessman blasted both South Korea and China, suggesting they were taking advantage of the United States.

“Everybody is a threat,” Trump said in regards to his potential challengers.  “They are all very capable.”

Trump, at the time, we surmised was likely to run as a Republican.

Fast forward to the summer of 2015, Trump opened at slightly better odds which almost immediately got slashed towards the single digits.

As of July 31, 2016, the real estate magnate is the Republican nominee with odds of +140.
