Following a meteoric surge in traffic of 12 to 15 percent last week, online poker traffic slowed to a crawl this week, falling nearly a percentage.

A similar occurrence happened last year at this time as the holiday season came to a close, according to PokerScout.com.  Some sites rose as much as 15 percent while a 12 percent increase was noted across the board.  PartyPoker witnessed a 19 pecent increase last week and another 7 percent this week thanks mainly to their Million Dollar Hand promotion.  The dramatic growth has helped Party to retake the number 3 position from iPoker.

Elsewhere, OnGame saw a 3.5 percent increase.
