Here we go...
Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Denver Broncos - Prediction: Jacksonville +3 ½
An interesting stat to consider here is that the Jaguars are 4-1 ATS against AFC West teams over the past three years. Denver, on the other hand, is 1-4 ATS against AFC South teams. Another riveting stat is that the Broncos are 1-13 ATS in games where the total is between 42 ½ and 49 points. The total here is 48 points. This is indicative of a poor defensive outlook that probably favors Jacksonville more.
The Jaguars are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games on grass while the Broncos are 5-14 ATS in their last 19 games following a ATS loss. They are also 4-12-1 ATS in their last 17 home games, mainly because of close wins and losses.
A very important stat is Denver being 5-16-1 ATS in their last 22 games following a straight up win and they are 1-7-1 ATS vs. a team with a losing record.
Jacksonville has won three of the last four in this series dating back to 1999 including an impressive road win last season.
Miami Dolphins vs. Houston Texans - Prediction: Miami +3
The Dolphins destroyed New England on the road and followed up with another win at home against the San Diego Chargers last week.
The one thing going in Houston's favor is their head-to-head history with Miami. Houston has won the last three games since 2003. Funny thing about that, however, is they have failed to cover by more than 3 points.
The Sagarin Ratings tell us that the Dolphins should easily win in Houston.
The Texans are 4-10 ATS in their last 14 vs. AFC.
The home team has won 9 of 10 in this series dating back to 1987. Over a good portion of this period, both teams were pretty horrendous.
Cincinnati Bengals vs. New York Jets - Prediction: Cincinnati +9 1/2
The Jets are 6-1 since 1992 with the Bengals having won the last game in the series last October.
Ahhh but here is where things get really interesting: The Bengals have only lost by more than the current 9 ½ point line twice over the last ten games in the series. Likewise, they have lost by more than 9 ½ points only once this season and that was against the now 5-0 Tennessee Titans.
Combine the above stats with the fact that the Jets are 1-6 ATS vs. a team with a losing record and are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games following a S.U. win, we have a real live dog here folks.
We're not big on picking teams with 0-5 records, but the desperation factor combined with heavily favored historical stats have prompted us here at Gambling911.com to do just that.
Carolina Panthers vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Prediction: Carolina +2
Since we first analyzed this game, the line has moved up to +2 from +1 ½.
Simply put, we can't pass up the head-to-head history here and the Panthers winning 8 of 10 when one considers how good this Carolina team is looking thus far. They have only lost on the road against a desperate Vikings squad. Last week, Carolina was very good to us as we picked them to win against Kansas City, and they ran away with it.
Chicago Bears vs. Atlanta Falcons - Prediction: Chicago -2 1/2
We are gonna say Chicago covers the -2 ½ line. Atlanta hasn't quite convinced us yet that they can come out and win each week. This is a tough call but past history demands that we go with Chicago here. 85 percent of the betting public agrees.
Dallas Cowboys vs. Arizona Cardinals - Prediction: Arizona +5
Gambling911.com believes that Arizona should be able to cover the +5 point spread
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!
